Terms of Use

Template requiring legal review before commercial launch. Operator identity, jurisdiction, consumer rights, tax treatment, dispute resolution, and retention duties must be completed by the operator’s legal adviser.

The service.

Stillroom provides curated encouragement, private journaling tools, mood check-ins, and optional paid human text conversations. Core encouragement and journal features are free. Paid sessions are individually priced before checkout. There is no subscription in this MVP.

Adults and accounts.

The service is intended for adults meeting the configured minimum age, at least 18. By registering, you confirm you meet that minimum, agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and understand the scope of the service. Keep your sign-in details private.

Human listening, not treatment.

The website owner is not marketed as a therapist, psychologist, doctor, or mental-health professional. Sessions are not therapy, counselling, medical care, diagnosis, or crisis intervention. Do not use this service for emergencies. See Safety & support.

Bookings, prices, and payment.

The duration, currency, price, available time, and cancellation notice are shown before you book. Times are displayed in your selected timezone and stored as canonical timestamps. A reservation is held while payment is pending and is confirmed only after server-side verification.

Cancellation and rescheduling.

Cancel or reschedule through Bookings within the displayed notice window. Eligible paid cancellations receive a refund through the original provider. Provider processing times may vary. Contact us about exceptional circumstances or requests outside the notice window. The operator must complete its no-show, host-cancellation, and statutory consumer-rights policy before launch.

Conversation conduct.

Be respectful. Harassment, threats, and unlawful use are not permitted. You can pause or leave a session. The host may close a session or disable an abusive account. Any refund consequences must be defined in the final policy.

Your content and data.

You retain control over your personal journal and preferences. You may export or delete your data through Settings. We do not publish private entries or use them as testimonials. Do not send information you do not want included in a contact request or paid conversation.

Availability and limitations.

Messages are encouragement and may not resonate every day. Access can be interrupted by maintenance or provider outages. No specific emotional outcome is promised. Liability and consumer-protection provisions require review for the operator’s jurisdiction.
